4th gen Toyota Sienna ATF change

With my 07 Sienna, we just drain & fill a 3 quarts through the dipstick hole. Doing this twice, a hundred miles apart, extends the transmission life significantly.

Yeap, easy. Did mine 5k miles ago. Make sure you have correct fluid (either Toyota labeled or something like Idemitsu with proper spec) and a good transfer pump(manual). I don't think change was needed at 50k, but general recommendations I heard so far, were 60-70k miles for long term health, and this van is definitely a keeper.

Nice thing about that toyota ecvt is that you can use pretty much anything in it, it has no clutches. Only the honda geared ecvt does need a specific fluid because it has a clutch for direct drive. You'd be served well with castrol transmax which Walmart carries.

It’s a super easy job. I did the same thing on my ‘19 Camry Hybrid using this same video. I’d recommend a good fluid pump, an accurate torque wrench, and make sure you get OEM crush washers. Also, make sure the car is level.

Is Mityvac good?
Don't think you can pump it out or at least easily but you will need to pump it in unless it's possible to snake a tube from up top into the fill plug. I bought a hyper tough branded hand pump from walmart years ago and it still works perfectly for pumping fluid in and out. That should do just fine to refill the trans.

I am at the dealer right now and just saw a Suzuki k truck delivering parts to the service dept in its little bed lol. Looked pretty cool.

I am way too frugal for that.

all my Lexus in my signature are new to me, and I did all the maintenance outside here in Wyoming (cold & 30-60mph winds) between the months of February to April.

I am glad I didn't do it now, it is Very hot here but I am young and don't mind being underneath a car, if you have difficulty with lying on your back then $120 is a great deal but my concern is, I am a perfectionist, I would hate to rush any job because of a "time limit"

I’m surprised Toyota didn’t call for e-Transaxle Fluid TE in the new Sienna. I changed some out at 35K on a Camry recently.

I use WS or Valvoline Hybrid in those if it doesn’t call for that super special fluid. My gen 2 Prius saw it all - MaxLife, WS, Vavoline Hybrid. It’s not picky at all.
