Just sold the 2018 TRD Pro 4 runner. Had it for 40 months. And enjoyed a couple of adventures with it in. mostly in Colorado and New Mexico but then moved to Texas, where public lands and adventures don’t exist in enough abundance to enjoy what the vehicle is.It was sad to take to the grocery store.
Sold it for what I paid, just was patient for the right buyer, dealing with dealers pretending to be private or trying to discourage that I would never get what was being asked. This is the third positive transaction i have had selling on Autotrader over the years And I have always found enthusiastic buyers.
So other than gas, insurance and the sales taxes and registrations paid It was good Economic ride, would have been foolish not to sell it with Zero depreciation. I am showing off.

As much as I dislike these vehicles-its hard for me to understand why any body would buy one used. The spread between new and use is so mall and would be very little difference on a monthly payment.

Congrats on getting what you asked.

It’s due to rarity of the TRD Pro Package with the exclusive color of the year. A buyer can’t get it new TRD
pro in that color now. Something so simple as having a Pro VIN and the right color makes a difference between that and the same vehicle in White for example. some colors demand more than others. limited production runs create Rarity and rarity creates long term value among those who love these.

Congrats on the sale. Having a vehicle which is desirable to a certain enthusiast, makes it a sellers market. I finally sold my unicorn '97 4Runner just over a year ago. The sale of which covered the majority of the cost of the new one I replaced it with.

Yeah, I had and sold a2017 TRD pro 4 runner (it was rEd in color and so I sold for just less than this blue one but it was 6 months old, and a 2010 trail teams FJ cruiser Which i feel I stole from the dealer in 2010 and sold for 3k less than I paid for it 7 years later. 4wheel drive toyota SUVs are not a bad deal.
These were all used on mountain and desert trails And using them as designed didn’t hurt resale.
