Redhawk?

Got a blued 7.5" one that was one of the first ones. Good STRONG double action pistol.

Heavy but shoots the .44mag cartridge quite well. Put better grips on it when I bought it.

Love to get one of the 4 inch ones but way too expensive. My model 44 Taurus covers that size well for me.

The single action Blackhawks are also very nice weapons.

I'd recommend either highly.

Take care, bill

Like Bill, I put a better grip on mine right after I got it. It's a double-handful, but it shoots well. I've shot both Rugers and Smith and Wessons, and I really can't tell any difference in quality.

I have a redhawk with a 5.5" barrel. I install houge grips, make the gun more fun to shoot. Any questions?

I was doing some work on one for one of my uncles the other week. Ended up taking it out to the range. Fine, fine gun. Built like a tank. I couldn't help but think that it would be ideal for hunting hogs.

Mine is fantastic but admit the griping area is too big for my hands. I have a 6" barrel version and it's so heavy my wrist get tired after a short shooting secession. Most ofthe time I put a scope on it and shoot from the bencch now.

Durango

Have 3 Redhawks in the collection, occasionally shoot each over a 20 + year period. One black and 2 nickle. Beautiful well finished, highly functional gun.
