Well it finally happened. My sons water pump finally failed on his 91 Ranger with 350K. Yesterday we were going to haul a piece of furniture and he checked under the hood. He noticed the coolant was low. My first thought was head gasket failure, but then noticed a small amount of coolant coming from the WP. We pulled the radiator, installed a new pump and while at it replaced the fan clutch and belts. Still the valve covers have never been removed, and the engine is running great.
