I got a little carried away at wal-mart, i noticed my stash was getting low last week and our wal-mart had some oil sales going on.. not filters, just oil.. lets just say my rack is re-filled

Im posting becouse i know most of you will appreciate this.. and i switched most over from Valve syn to Mobil 1 and bought up a nice stash of Rotela for toys..
 
This is why I can never find any oil everytime they have a sale at walmart. Then I get to travel over to autozone and pay 50 percent more.
 
Do you want to tell us what you got?

BTW - when Target was discontuing their M1 for 2.99/qt several years ago (well maybe more like 7 or so), I cleaned out 3 stores - about 60 quarts.,,,,,,,,,all they had. With 4 cars, amazing how fast it got used.

Walmart is still my prime source.

Walmart has sales on M1?

. We would love to hear a full report on what you got and maybe a photo of the haul? Spending over $300 on oil in one day sounds crazy to most people but I dream of a day when I can bring home a haul that good.
 
no wife here, I buy what i want when i want, no one to fuss over anything, its a great life......of course IMHO. wives are nice people , i had two, never again, just not my thing, but we all make errors.............amen
 
Let's see, i bought most of it in 5 qrt jugs.

Mobil 1 5w20 x4 5qrt jugs
Mobil 1 5w30 x4 5 qrt jugs
Rotella T-6 x4 jugs
Shell 30wt x2 or 3 jugs dont recall
Mobil 1 4T 10-40 motorcycle specific 4 quarts


I kinda just went nuts, not all of it was on sale, the mobil 1 was on sale for $24.xx i think per 5 quart jug but i bought multiple oil changes for everything in my SIG, and more than multiple for a couple of them. believe it or not it all fit in one cart.. and considering the mobil 1 was basicaly $25 each.. it didnt take that many to rack up a big bill..

I maintain cars, truck, motorcycles, mower's, UTV, and multiple small engines.. before i was married with kid i had time to bargain hunt and shop around for who had codes and super sales on maintence items.. No more, with the oil i just bought i can maintain my little fleet for a good while with no store trips. a seperate trip to AAP for filters is needed, i have two large metal 6 ft racks in my garage, one of them is for nothing but oil and filters.. and i try and keep atleast 2 future oil changes on it at all times for everything i own.. that rack was about half empty. (WAS)

Speaking of Ammo, i went into our Gander Mountain to buy for the upcomming deer season.. my mouth about fell open.. i hate giving wal-mart all my buisness.. but when gander wants $5.xx for 5 12 guage shells and wal-mart sell's a box of 15 for $11.xx its hard not too..
 
believe me, i didnt clean em out, we have two SUPER WAL-MARTS withing 10 min of each other.. the real sale was already cleaned out though, valve syn was empty.. i looked at the tag and they were selling them for $22.00 a 5qrt jug (if memory serves me).. the mobil 1 had a MONSTER display, must have been a couple hundred 5 qrt jugs regular price was $28.xx-$29.xx and it was $24.xx i figured this is what i normally pay for valvoline syn, so why not go with the Mobil 1

The 2 Walmarts "near" me NEVER discount oil below their "everyday price", even old stuff.

Depends where one is, I suppose. One local Walmart here still has a whack of Valvoline conventional jugs for $9.88 that it got in over a year ago. I would suggest they would be praying for someone to come in and buy a few 4x4 boxes.
 
Oil prices are up at least 20-25 percent here across the board. All the 5 quart jugs are at least 3-4 bucks higher, that is for dino, I don't even look at syn.

Mobil Clean used to be 10.88, now it is 14 dollars.
