$329 torque wrench at Harbor Freight

I have heard of people buying this to calibrate and check their torque wrenches. Heard it is pretty accurate. And if you check and log all of your torque wrenches, you can watch for them getting out of calibration I guess...

I don't think it comes with a calibration certificate. So no reason to trust it as a calibration reference.

HF promotes it as a new product. Large digital angle torque wrench. Seems like a lot of money to spend for a torque wrench from any company short of SnapOn.

HF higher end tools are pretty good. I have a nice set of Icon ratcheting wrenches.

However, I think that HF made it mark by selling "decent" tools, at low prices, and having stuff in stock......if they get away from that, I see no reason to get HF, and would go Gucci tool at that point.

Craftsman is really no more, there is that.

Looks similar to mine. I have had mine checked several times, they are always spot on and not requiring adjustment. Utica provides a new calibration certificate each time.

I don't think it comes with a calibration certificate. So no reason to trust it as a calibration reference.

I understand your trepidation. I've seen folks discuss them on forums as being very accurate and repeatable against a known good (recently calibrated) wrench. They then keep a log to watch for any changes in their wrenches.

I send mine to a calibration shop out in San Angelo. He's really good and usually turns my tools around same-day.

I last sent mine in like 6 years ago, it was $35 each back then and included the return shipping. One of mine I have had for 35 years. I broke the ratchet head on it and they fixed it for a reasonable price...looks like $80 on their price list.
