first off i would like to say that this site is awesome. i have a good story, i work at a body shop and one day an old lady came in and said that she needed an oil change, i told her that we dont do oil changes but since we were slow i would. she left her car and i brought it into the shop and when i looked at the oil change sticker, it was dated back almost 4 years and the oil was 30,000 over. i figured that the place had forgotten to replace the sticker, but when i took the filter off, the place had written down the date and mileage on the filter. the car was really 30,000 overdue, when the lady came to pick the car up, i asked her when the last time she changed it, she said 4 years ago, i just didnt have the time to change it but it still runs, i told her never to let it go that far. when i cut the filter open, it was disgusting, i will try to post some pics of it. hope you all dont cry too much

no it was a 1998 lincoln town car, 4.6 V8, there was about a quart and a half when i drained it and the car had close to 100K on it, and it actually did run decent. i put synthetic in it just to be safe

Did you tell her that by using synthetic that she can double or triple her standard OCI?

In her case, that means she can go 90K-120K between changes!
