Shop not busy so I went outside for fresh air, Saw this lady raid her hood, well for being BITOGER i came over and ask what happent ? she say her oil light came on ( I think her car is 2005-2008 acura TL 4 door ) I went inside and get a paper tower, and pull the dip stick out, I dont see any oil at all. I check the sticker date she change her oil, it was 2/09/2012 10w30 castrol gtx. I ask she , does she have any oil on her trunk, she say no. anyway i have no choice but to get a 10w40 mobil super 5000 jug ( 4 quart left ) out off my jeep 4.0. I add until it on full mark, and its roughly almost over 2 quart :(, I told she her oil is low 2 quart.

I told she turn on the car car, check engine light went off, and she say her engine is sound little quiet then before. You guy think it ok 10w40 to mix with 10w30 oil. over all I think any oil is better then no oil.

Thicker oil won't hurt her at all. I think that sticker may have read 2011 instead of 2012... or maybe that sticker was the NEXT scheduled oil change. It'd explain everything... otherwise they didn't put enough oil 2 months ago.

I think her car have bad oil leak, because she alway park right out my back door of my shop, and I alway see fresh oil drop when ever I past by.

You did good, might not leak as fast now

I heard it was 19 days until the engine explodes into a fiery ball of death. But I could be wrong.

You may have saved her a fews days till the engine self destructs
then it will be "that dang guy that put oil in my car f'd it up"
not when do I change the oil, or did the dealer add enough oil?

10w-40 is the least of her worries. her biggest worry should be herself and her in-ablilty to check oil (which is a basic life skill)!
