Perhaps it's just me, but I never feel the need to wipe with a dry cloth after applying. It looks fine after the initial application.

I spray it on a microfiber and apply. Maybe that's the trick. Been doing that for past 3 years. Whatever it is, it looks great just applying without the final buff. If it ain't broke...don't fix it.
