Like eljefino, I find it nearly impossible to believe that a dealer would eat the higher warranty costs to let someone else repair the vehicle.

You did clear this with the dealer before you towed it home, right?

yes, he is not a crook like other dealer i been thru, can tell my the way he talk and dealing with me, tell me option, help me thru tough time. Im looking for a mechanic today to take the jeep to him look at find out wat wrong, then monday we go from there, I think its not that serious, just the seal is mess up. it can be fix.

yes, we was plan to stay their and wait til monday, he gave the hotel his credit card and tell them I can stay as long if I need too, but I do not like stay where I am dont know about, so he say best way is rent a u haul and take it home, keep the receipt and he pay for it, and find a mechanic let him look at it, and tell him wat wrong and he take care of it, he say he only make 400 dollar out off it, but he feel bad cause what happent, I have feeling he will help me thru this.

like peoples say other post " speak softly and carry big stick " i talk him nicely and completely understand, I already prepair something like this gonna happent, that what happent when you buy a use vehicle.

but if thing dont work out ok, and I have go to "war" and fight for my self. I got all the payper work, say I got 3000 miles and 4 month warranty for drive train, tranmission, engine ( not cover super charger or turbo charger ) rear differential....

I write down the miles when I left the dealer, gas receipt and miles that it break down. all the reciept, tow truck.. text message say he agree pay for everything.. everything in case I need go court. I got it under control, but hopefuly thing went ok, I dont have go thru legal thing.

When you get to a shop call the dealer for an additional okay.

They might weasel out saying there aren't any ASE certified mechanics, or they aren't licensed, or they won't cover consequential damages. IOW act like you're going to an out of network doctor, and get precertified with your 'insurance'.

one more question, the trailer back of the u haul say " 55 MPH ", that is max you can speed ? I drove home 4 hours speed 50-60 yesterday.

if think work out good between mechanic and insurance peoples, then imma input him some redline gear oil or some good part, let him do it one and do it right. cause most mechanic I knew alway using costal gear oil thing.

And this.

I'm beginning to hope that some of the things (stories) you have come up with on this board are just things to keep us entertained. I hope so.

+1. who would go 9 hours for a Jeep Grand cherokee? his posts are suspicious.

some u guy are thinking too much, wait til something like this happent to you one day, stuck on side of the road in middle of no where , then you know how it feel like. Dont ever over think or think bad about other peoples cause it can happent to you too. I beleive in karma, so when peoples tell me their story, all I ever did is try to be understanding and be nice about it, cause it can happent to me too.

I dint get the car inspection or pay 100 dollar for some one come inspection it, the dealer event told me, he can get some one come and inspect the car and what ever its, he can only talk to me, he wont talk to dealer. and they have buy back warranty if something went wrong.

the dealer did get the car for inspection, pass smog test and safety test, got payper proof it, and first time I saw the jeep that he drove to pick me up, I have that feeling its good jeep, you know when u have that feeling when first time you saw your car and u have that good feeling ( that was I have feeling with ). inside and out side clean, cold ac when im on it, and I did look under the car, everything look dirt dry, its good thing I see it dirt dry, if it too clean then some one might clean those grease away, everything under the car look dirt dry to me is good thing.

@Metal Slug:

I'm not trying to be rude but seriously, could you please try and think a little bit more about your writing style. It is really hard to read your posts and it makes it a bit more difficult to understand your thoughts and respond to them accurately.

Thanks!

If you're going to pick on the guy about his spelling and grammar, then at least have the good sense to use correct grammar yourself.

I believe you were shooting for "You're", a conjunction of you and are....

Something like this happened on one of the Jeep forums receintly.

Car lot bought a Jeep GC at the auction. Got it to the lot and found a bad rear end. Put a junkyard rear end in it and sold the Jeep.

Jeep was fulltime 4wd.

Front ratio was 3.73 and rear was 3.23 or something like that.

Anyway the guy drove it most of the way home which smoked the transfercase and axles.
