I was taught this as well. My co-workers always laugh at me when I talk slowly and repeat information when I leave a voicemail. Was also taught to use the NATO phonetic alphabet.
I have no interest in ever owning an RV after having to work on them, however if I did I would have something like a Good Sam roadside on seed dial.
