yep. Could have been 20+ defective fuel pumps. The bigger problem was I was too young to realize my right to remedy this obviously faulty condition. I am rational enough to realize I have a possibly irrational distaste for Chrysler due to that experience, though! Enough irrationality to trump the wonderful slant 6 engine I had prior to the fuel pump experience.

Titan:

Nissan certainly finds itself on the horns of a dilemma. Of course, if they take what we would see as the "high road" (paying huge amounts for repairs to make the known defect right), they would face a massive blow financially. Or they can play "tough," save themselves money, and leave the problems for the consumers to pay the price. Given that they're putting out a product that they know will fail, often after wty expiration, and obviously not telling customers (so that they'll go ahead and buy), were I a customer (I'm another one-time Nissan customer, other reasons, another story) I'd be really angry and yes, I'd shun their entire line as their deserved reward for shafting me in the past. No, there's no perfect car or car company, but that doesn't mean that customers have to simply sit back and "take it" when a company like Nissan treats them incredibly badly. BTW, have you heard of the Uzi Nissan (the computer guy who had the audacity to beat Nissan to the obvious web site name) saga?

Yep, I agree. They do it because they figure it will cost them less NOT to fix the problem, and stick the customer that doesn't push the right buttons to suffer. I'm just saying they aren't the only company to do it. I've actually "lemon-lawed" two vehicles, that Honda I mentioned, and a 1.8 Turbo VW Jetta. The VW experience was by far much better...they treated me like royalty the entire time, and bent over backward to accomodate me. Honda treated me like a dirt-bag with no morals. Same result, they each bought the car back, but, I wouldn't deal with that particular Honda dealership ever again.

I hope the OP gets his problem corrected. I will say, staying cool and taking all the right legal steps is the best way to get it done, if it can be done.

Majority of all dealerships NEVER resurface the head. A tech does not get paid when a car is sitting on the hoist while waiting for the machine shop.

Fords are notorious for banana heads blowing head gaskets. I wonder if pop cans make up nissan heads. Seriously speaking I think many MLS type headgaskets are creating more problems than good. I dont know if nissans use graphite coated oldschool headgaskets. Victor reinz seems to be a solid product. I sometimes hear felpro too hard to "squish"

Every state is different to some degree but to lemon law, you have to have "X" amount of documented instances of a problem or problems with the first year that failed.
