I like the look of the R2. Really like the R1S.
No offense, but everything about the above picture is sloppy.

It sounds like this R2 is going to make or break them.I often wonder about Rivian, and other EV companies, as to how they can continue operations while operating at a loss. The GMsof the world can absorb their EV losses with their overall (trucks) product line. But that's just the finance guy in me.
I don't know but it has my attention. I want to get back into an SUV, maybe even a car. I don't utilize the bed of the pickup enough and I'm nearing the end of the powertrain warranty.Buster are you going to buy one?
Nice. I personally like the looks but obviously subjective. My wife is sold on everything but the looks!
I agree. I have personally been waiting for an SUV on/off-road capable EV. I'm in no rush and not settled on anything but this has my attention for sure. It checks off most of the boxes. It's no secret that this is the make it or break it vehicle for Rivian. The business case is for it to sell in sufficient quantities to make Rivian profitable. They have learned a lot. The vehicle is right in so many ways... The Model Y is the #1 success story in recent automobile history; nothing else is even close. The R2 has the Y market share squarely in its sights.
I like it a lot. My question is, is there a big enough market for a dual purpose rig, on and off road vehicle? Can it take market share? Current interest rates and economic conditions present challenges to the industry...
A big thanks to @buster for alerting me to the R2. Would I buy one? Probably not. If I were in the market for an SUV, it would be the Model Y and then the Lex RZ350e. But who knows? Interesting times ahead.
