I like it.
On a side note. Can you imagine this guy and Scotty Kilmer having a conversation with each other? They'd knock each other out!
Hands and arms are going everywhere!
It would look like two windmills fighting each other.
A $45K EV SUV is brilliant. I'm guessing these sell well, especially in urban areas.
"THIS!!!!!"
"I think this will be a big hit, despite the slowing demand for EVs."
655hp/610lb tq

Starting cost - $45k
I guess we’ve come a long way because I don’t see probably around a realistic price of $55,000 and more that affordableWe host an electric car show in Town and I had to pleasure of closely looking at an R1 and talk to the owner. The Rivians are probably the most practical and normal looking electric SUVs on the market. And from the owners description, looks like a blast to drive and easy to live with. He didn't seem like a guy who was easy to please either.
I agree, something affordable will sell like hot cakes. Look at the Bolt. Its a tiny little econobox, but an affordable EV. GM couldn't even cancel it.
I’m not surprised I actually read you a post after I made the post above this oneFull pricing, trims and specs released tomorrow (12 March 2026). Apparently the $45,000 quote has been deleted from their website in recent days too.

Earnings come out May 5 2026 for the first quarter of this year. Last month in February, they reported earnings for the last quarter of 2025.according to Yahoo finance Rivian's earnings report is on Thurs
58k including destination charges$55K probably close
$56k anyone??
There are tons of Rivians in the PNW.58k including destination charges
I do hope they are able to make it and be successful. Seems like the people that have them love them.
I think I can remember one occurrence when my wife and I saw one on the road here. I guess it all depends where the dealerships are and chargers. There are tons of Rivians in the PNW.
What a wild difference. In my area the car distribution is approximately as follows.I think I can remember one occurrence when my wife and I saw one on the road here. I guess it all depends where the dealerships are and chargers.
Might be a good fit for you?

I know what you’re saying believe it or not! What a wild difference. In my area the car distribution is approximately as follows.
70% Tesla
10% Rivian
10% GM EV
5% Other EV
5% other cars.
AND YES THIS IS A JOKE the real numbers if I look at the cars on the road around me as I walk or drive are probably 7% Tesla, 3% other EV, 90% other cars, but it FEELS like the above distribution.
