Nice people hauler for sure. The MPG will probably be excellent for the size of this vehicle, but I would like to know how it fairs on long trips, fully loaded and varying terrain as far as engine drone and passing power.
We have had one since 2021. Many long trips. The MPG does very well even when loaded up with people, luggage and coolers. But it does drop a few MPG with varying terrain and power is adequate at best. We took at trip to rural Arkansas with our Sienna a while back. It did fine on the back county hills. But it takes a hit on MPG to keep up. It’s not a heavy duty vehicle or twin turbo setup so one should temper expectations.

Awesome that cypress green is one of our most requested colors for those at my dealership. These are nice vans. Hopefully it will serve you well. The only really big problem I’ve seen with these is the rear hatch struts going bad and we’ve had a lot with bad headlights and those are all very expensive parts so hopefully if they go out it will be under warranty still because they are crazy expensive. But overall nice van and I’m sure you will get many years out of it.

For the most part, we got what we wanted. Since they hold the power, I had to pay for some what is in the XLE plus package, which I was not really interested in.

What I didn't want, but got:
1. Roof rack ( I actually wanted this, but my wife did not. It didn't come with crossbars, however.)
2. 1500W inverter
3. Moonroof
4. Toyota branded first aid kit.
5. JBL Audio (I was wrong above, it does have the premium sound system)
6. 12.3 inch screen

What I wanted and got:
1. Mudguards
2. All weather floor mats

We would not have taken delivery if it wasn't green...that's how much my wife wanted that color. We didn't have to pay for anything like undercoating or scotchguard. They didn't even fight when I so no to the extended warranty, though I thought hard on that due to the amount of tech in this van.

What didn't I get that I wanted?
A full size spare tire. In fact, it doesn't have a spare tire. In 33 years of driving, I can count on 2 fingers the number of times I have needed a spare tire, and one of those times was in a rental vehicle, so I am not upset, but I will be putting a plug kit in it, as I did use that on my last van. It did come with an air compressor and a can of Toyota branded fix-a-flat.

Aslo, I added by paying for upon delivery: Body colored strips along the doors to protect against door dings, as that was not included in the package.

They added only $1100 more in options than I wanted, so I settled for it. I felt that was very fair.

We only visited our local dealer, as I didn't want to have to deal with another dealer 45 minutes away. My thought was to play the long game and keep our local dealer as our provider for the van, the warranty, and some service.

I could tell they had NO interest in my old van, so I am selling that on my own. I would have been lucky to get $1000 from them based on the way they were looking at it when I talked about trading it. It could sit at my place for a year before I would consider something that low for it (2014 T&C with a bad idle vibration and lots of electrical greml
When I ordered my Rav4 Hybrid XSE -- I had to have the floor mats and mud guards also. The mats are great!!! Cool choice in color, hopefully it takes care of you & the Family for a longggg time. Note: I noticed zero MPG difference between 0W16 and 0W20. Your foot plays the biggest factor.

I’m going down the -16 vs -20 rabbit hole. It’s as bad as the -20 vs -30 in Jeeps. I really can’t decide!

If it were mine, I’d be eyeing TGMO 20 weight. At the moment, I’m spending the extra bucks on TGMO due to its heavily fortified additive pack. (Toyota Genuine Motor Oil). With the frequent stop/start in these engines, I figure the oil is worth the cost. I tend to run the full OCI.

It seems like the engine runs 75% ofthe time in town, in our autumn weather. A 10,000 mile OCI would be like a 7500 mile oil change

I have a jug of Mobil 1 advanced fuel economy 0w-20 I may put in at 1500 miles or so, then do a change at 5000 miles, then the free 10,000 mile change.

Thanks for the suggestion on the TGMO oil.

Our use case is perfect for a hybrid, as we run around town doing kid stuff. Our T&C would need a gas stop by Sunday (I get gas at 1/2 a tank). We are a week and a half in and the needle just popped off full. That savings paid for my 200 mile Jeep trip last week, as that’s where the gas went instead

Probably should keep the oil changes short. As condensation and fuel dilution will be an issue.
