Not much for details yet, other than its size. 8” longer and 5” wider than a CR-V.

Based on GM’s Ultium platform and available in 2024.

I love new tech, and forward looking innovation, but I don't care if it is an ICE or EV, I'm not buying a car that looks like they stuck two ipads on the dash. How in the H-E-double hockey sticks are people ok with this look?

Outside =BLAH. Honda always manages to make everything as bland as possible. No way those wide, sticky tires will make it into production...and probably a smaller rim and fatter sidewall to appease the older market.

Looks like the cross between a newer Jeep Cherokee and the smaller Range Rover...taking the most bland from both.

I'll take a Maytag on isle 5 please...and make sure it is white, and quiet, and boring...

Looks like a blazequinox.

We have no idea how ultium will perform, or degrade over time.

Seems like a big risk.

I came here to say this. Why is it so hard to make an integrated dash. Sticking a square tablet on top of the dash is just lazy

Wow,
To me the exterior of the Honda is gorgeous and I think it’s these type of vehicles that will be a big hit with Americans. Love it.
No doubt in my mind it kind a looks a little bit like a Range Rover, my wife’s favorite.

I see the point about the dashboard, those styles aren’t my favorite but I guess you get used to it, I would reserve my opinions until I was actually sitting in the cabin, either way I would consider anything in that style.

At least it wasn't a simple badge swap like the Honduzu Passport and Acuzu SLX - I can still see the Blazer lines in the profile but doubt anyone but a car person would ever know.

Now Honda having to outsource EV's, thats a shame.

I bet Honda sells more, just because. Time will tell.

Better looking BEV than most. I like the Tesla sedan looks but their “SUV” designs just look wasteful. The euro BEVs generally look good to me. I’m not sold on the GM SUVs like the next equinox and blazer yet.

If my wife wanted to replace her crv with this, I’d be supremely interested. She wouldn’t have the creativity to charge it in the typical out of town settings she visits right now, so it’s probably out for now.

Huh. I mentioned it to her and she didn’t say ”no.” I registered my email addy with honda. I fear, based on its size, that this will be a premium-prices vehicle, which… won’t work. But maybe it will be less, and that might be workable.

Since it's longer than the CR-V maybe it will have better legroom. The CR-V has always been abysmal for tall people. Same with the Rav4 for that matter.

The older Equinox was the only one that had excellent legroom of all the midsize CUV. But now they are smaller, so I don't know.

2010-2017, I think, were the better; we have a 2013 and GM has spent more on the car than we have.

Best legroom in a midsize CUV that I've found is in the VW Tiguan. Worst repair record in Consumers Report.

It looks nice. I hope the dealerships do a good job of communicating this partnership to their customers though so they know what they are truly getting. I wouldn't want to think I was buying a Honda and find out I'd basically bought another GM vehicle.

I highly doubt any Honda dealer will proactively share with buyers its basically a GM. I'm guessing even if you asked about the partnership most sales folks wouldn't have a clue what you are talking about unless they were a car buff that followed the industry.
