Had to rent a U-Haul to get the 19 year old up to college. It’s a 2023 F350 15’ and wow does the 7.3 V8 sound horrible. It’s rough, loud, has a metallic sound to it and it only has 8,100 miles and 220 hours on the engine. Seems to have normal power. Tires look new and I checked the oil and it looks fresh and it is right where it should be on the dip stick. Already has some rust in the engine compartment.
Do all Ford 7.3 sound this way or has this one already been abused in its short 8,100 mile life? I’m guessing too that moving trucks probably get stripped of all sound-insulation to save money?
