2022 Wrangler diesel trans 43k miles factory fill

I purchased a used Wrangler with 43k miles on it. From what I can tell from the Car Fax it was well maintained but the transmission was never serviced. So I pulled the pan and replaced it with a PPE pan and filter and put AMSOIL ATL back in. It took 6qts. So I grabbed a sample and here is the results. The pan looked great and there was minimal fuzz on the two magnets. Surprised to see the high iron. To me automatic transmission fluid should be changed out at least by 40k miles and so forth. I might be crazy but do this with all my vehicles. Thoughts?

Love it. Has great power and from my research just below the 392 Wranglers. As for economy averaging 22mpg. Being a Rubicon if I go up tire size to 37 or even 40" I don't have to regear since the torque is so good out of the diesel.

Once I get some miles on it I will post a UOA on the engine. I changed out the oil that the dealer put in it right before I bought it. I put a few hundred miles on it. I figured I would do that as a good flush. I was amazed that the oil wasn't black like on my Chevy Cruze diesel. I can change that oil and in just a few miles of driving it is black. This engine seems to be burning way cleaner. But then it is newer tech by 18 years.

I think you did a great thing. A fluid change every 40k will ensure you dont have a fluid related failure. I do 30k in my GM vehicles, but i drive hard and tow

The ZF8s aren't known to be too rough on ATF.
