You are right...I don't need a truck every two to three years. It's a "want". I guess I am part of the problem.

Here is the rub-with insane trade in prices-if you don't mind always having a payment-you can drive a new truck for a few dollars more than the one you are currently driving. Just so you understand that is how frequent trading works.
I agree plus add in the tax incentives for businesses. The first Ford built diesel year was 2011.
I got a $9k rebate and I sold it in 48 months later at a loss of only $4200
directly to a Ford dealer. They were happy to get it. A few months later I bought a gasser F250 and sold it 3 years later and got great money on it. Three months ago I got a F250 7.3...
Trucks hurt to buy when you are new to the game. Once you trade or flip they don't seem so expensive.
Diesels bring top resale because new ones keep going up.
I take care of my stuff and dealers wait in line to buy mine at crazy prices.

They went to led headlights. I prefer hid with a quality projector set-up. Ford had to recall the last F150 due to headlight glare.

People don't need a new truck every 2-3 years. If people started keeping their vehicles longer and desired reliability and functionally over the latest gizmo and oversize electronic screen then prices would drop and manufactures would go back to building quality instead of brittle appliances designed to fail immediately after the warranty period. So just buy older used trucks for a good price and stick it to the industry until things change.
Dareo was being sarcastic, I hope you realized that.

It should be LED projectors. I wasn't aware any OE manufacturer was making reflectors with LEDs in them.
Quite a few do. Even Audi’s amazing Matrix LED’s are using reflectors.

Ford Explorers were using reflector LED’s at one point.... they seemed to produce a ton of glare though.

Oh ouch, that sucks and confirms that Ford is pretty terrible, Audi as well, lol

The RAM LED's are also, in mid-trim, reflectors. They work fine. There's nothing wrong with a reflector + LED setup provided it is properly engineered.

The matrix LED’s are often regarded as the best of the best, they’re nothing like the glare inducing setup that Ford used.
Lol, I dare say that Audi is probably light years ahead of Ford in lighting, especially when it comes to random vehicles.

No way that is a STX for $56k sticker. Maybe Canadian dollars? It does look like a STX but that price must be wrong. My crew 2018 XLT 302A with sport package, tow group, and a bunch of other stuff stickered $51,200. My new Laramie (RAM) crew has some extras and stickered $55,135.

If I was paid to buy a F150 again, I would take the money and sell the truck. 😆

I never buy F150's new
Too much demand here. I get the F250-350 cheaper and I need them but too many soccer moms want a 150 crew
Been that way for decades

Not sure if I follow - do you have any examples?. You can buy stripped F-150's for high 30's, but it is rare to find a similar config F-250 for 10-15k more.

I don't want to bore the members here with another photo shoot of my 2020 F250 XL with STX package and a bunch of options ( Its on here)
Like 7.3L engine and so on but I purchased it cheaper than a F150 with similar interior options. It's all on here and I bought 3 this decade
2011-2020 cheaper- all from $37K-$42K and this one I used Toyotas outrageous trade in value to get $10,600 out of a $6700 trade in.
I did not figure that in to the price though. The 2011 was a F350 Diesel crew and it was the first year for a Ford Diesel and it came with a $9K rebate.
I can't afford a f150 around here.... Why pay more for less? I do need the big trucks for towing anyway.
