Is the 8 speed transmission still a problem? A co-worker of mine just dumped his 2018 Colorado because he said it was horrible.

Is the 8 speed transmission still a problem? A co-worker of mine just dumped his 2018 Colorado because he said it was horrible.

So far I really dig it. I like how it snaps into gear and shifts very fast and smooth. Only complaint at this point is I think it downshifts a little too early. Ideally when climbing a hill, I could give up a few MPH's and hold a gear longer for better fuel economy rather than dropping a gear or two to maintain the exact cruise setting.

No, not really. Yes, it is just as tall or taller, but it is narrower, and much shorter. The most important part is that my beautiful wife is ok with the size, and feels comfortable driving it (she HATES driving my Silverado).

I can attest, while it may look big, it doesn't feel that way behind the wheel.
