1st oil & filter change for my '21 Audi SQ5 Sportback.

Replaced FF with just under 8 qts. of Liqui Moly 0W20 (VW 508), and the OEM cartridge filter.

Interesting factoid - I could not find the Oil Capacity listed in the SQ5's owner's manual. Instead, it mentions taking it to an Audi Authorized Service Center for its oil & filter change. Funny thing is with the oil filter cartridge on top of the engine, it is one of the easiest oil and filter changes in my over 30 years of wrenching.

As far as oil capacity, Amsoil website states 7.7 quarts. Glad you were able to figure it out.

Starting viscosity for XW-20 oil is from 6.9 to to 9.3. No idea where this OEM oil started out at.

X2 VOA is at 9.56. I highly doubt it is below 8, if not 9.
Whatever it is, if I had SQ5 I would move to VW504.00/507.00.

I agree that M1 x2 would be an excellent choice as well as Ravenol VSE, but
I'm under the impression any VW 508 00 approved oil will be very similar.

I feel like I'm between a rock and hard place with the VW 508 requirement for warranty purposes. If I understand correctly, the VW 508 0W20 oils all have tracer dyes in them. If I happen to have an oil-related failure during the 4-yr/50k mile warranty period, and let's say I used Valvoline Euro 5W30 instead. The Audi techs don't see the dye, and then Audi might decline the repair, based on me not using the recommended oil.

So I now I replaced the FF with Liqui-Moly 0W20 (VW 508). I'll see how the next UOA looks @ 5k miles OCI.

No, only VW 508 is called out on the sticker.

And the owner's manual even goes as far as saying this statement under "Checking & Filling":

Let's face it, there's simply no reason for not feeling comfortable
with using a VW 508 00 approved oil. It's about time to realize it.
