I got my PacBrake oil filter relocation kit installed. The original location was one of the worst I have encountered in my 63 years. The worst part was installing the adapter due to access to tighten things up. Future changes should be a breeze.
Installing this stuff can be a slight pain but once completed will really be helpful for maintenance on this Ram 5.7L. Looks like the installation went well after all is said & done.
The SRT's and the DS trucks before the fitment of EPS all spec/spec'd the FL-820S equivalent filter. I can get it on my DT, but it's not a fun oil change. Much easier on the Jeep.
No doubt about it .. most obnoxious oil change I've done.
Not only is the filter clogged from all sides, the oil drain plug aims right at the stabilizer bar.
So it goes all over too.
I try to grab the worst of the oil from the filter (a decent amount drains out from above after its loosened)
with a ziplock bag around the filter but its a sloppy mess.. might be easier in the air on a lift.
