Exhaust manifolds have been touchy since the beginning of time. An area of extremely high heat, the most wild temp swings of any component, yet with specific sealing critera being mated to a rigid casting.
Seems OEs have developed the best solution yet: to include exhaust manifold function into the head casting, and simply bolt a pipe to the head (since this is a chrysler based thread, like the 3.6 Pentastar).
