2017 Toyota RAV4 High miles

I drive a 2017 Toyota RAV4. It has almost 200,000 miles. I do lots of driving for my work. I have been using Mobil 1 for the oil changes. What are some of the other things I can do to make my vehicle last a long time?

Keep up with oil changes, service the transmission (Do not use universal fluid), brakes, brake fluid, flush the coolant and use the correct Toyota coolant.

It's a Toyota, basic maintenance is all that is needed to go 300,000+

If it's an AWD, change the gear oil in the transfer case and rear diff..

What's wrong with Valvoline MAXLIFE? It's worked for plenty of people here.

I have seen it have issues in Toyota WS transmissions while switching back to Toyota WS solved the issue, plenty enough for me. Also go ahead and browse the Toyota forums you will see similar experiences of what I have just mentioned so it is not just me.

OEM/Licensed fluid is available at a fair price.

I'd much rather use the evidence on this board.
Some of the Toyota forums just don't seem to have members that are as well versed as here.

I will continue to use the correct fluid and not universal based on actual experience.

Every driveline fluid. Make sure brake fluid is changed every few years, and coolant every 5. Does it have a separate gear oil for an AWD power-take-off? Grease the hinges. Lube all of the weatherstripping with shin-etsu grease, by hand (available on Amazon). Wash the underbelly after snow/salt. Change your plugs on time, and inspect regularly for belts and leaks.

Toyota fluid is apparently nothing special nor synthetic. I didn't trust it my Toyota for the long haul and dumped it in favor of the Amsoil fuel efficient fluid. Correct fluid, yeah sure.

Ask just about anyone here what their opinion is on WS fluid. You really can't win this one but I believe from having read some of your posts you're not the type to let it go, it's just not in you.

I don't care what opinions are I care about facts and the fact is Toyota WS is the correct fluid for Toyota WS transmissions and the fact is not only me but others on Toyota forums have had issues with universal ATF in Toyota WS transmissions but you refuse to accept the actual experience of others on those forums or those who actually work on vehicles because they aren't from BITOG.

This isn't a competition on winning so the fact that you bring up winning is hilarious. The ego of people on this forum
