The L5P fuel filter is much easier to change than LML and prior Duramax fuel filters that were behind the passenger side fender liner. All you need to change the L5P fuel filter is a 36mm socket and a pick to change the 2 o-rings. It takes about 10 minutes to change the filter and the fuel system bleeds itself when you cycle the key a few times. The older Duramax engines did not have a lift pump and had to be bled manually. The OEM TP1015 can be had on Amazon or eBay for ~$20-$25 each.
