I've been trying to find the source of this "ping"...many ppl later and such and still no one knows....

So I strapped a phone to the underneath of my truck to try and close in on the source of said "ping"

Have a listen and take your best guesses

- video one....I have more vids from different positions will post them if ppl are stumped (as i am)

Lil bit more....its only at low speed usually clicks a number of times after stopping...does not do it every time just most of the time
does not affect driving, accelerating or stopping. Just makes some click when coming off a dead stop

I've exchanged my fluids on both diff's and transfer case as well within the past 2 weeks.

My guess is some kind of metal line rattling against another line or something like that. Reminds me of metal tent stakes.

Crawl under and start prying things about with a long screwdriver.

kinda, I've had ppl hear it out of the rear driver side wheel well, as well as ppl hear it out the front passenger side. CPU shows no errors

Ah, I forgot to mention, what is in the bed of your truck, or do you have a toolbox? Junk will rattle around all day long.

How do the joints look on the front drive shaft? Assuming they are CV joints. On my Liberty when the CV at the tcase end of the front driveshaft started to go, it'd sound like a chain dropped or something but no other noise then gradually hummed more and more and then sounded like I was dragging a chain behind me.

I can post you some pics but imo they look fine. its not a continous sound either just a few metal like pops....does not effect drive quality or anything else. just coming off a stop i get 1 to 3 metal sounds pop, thuds or w/e you'd call em
