Lot of idling, lot of redlining, lot of short drives + a 500 mile roadtrip. The car is my daily driver now and is short tripped to and from work (7 miles one way). Can't complain! I do use an oil catch can, but haven't emptied it in over 15k miles as it still has barely anything in it.

That oil could do 10k miles easily. But I would start inching up your mileage to 5k, 7k, etc just to see how the numbers play out. 3k seems like a waste for this oil. Most any other oil could do 3k in this or any engine without a hiccup.

Presume you’ve never owned an EJ turbo? I fell victim to extending my OCI based on “good uoa’s” but never again. 3-5k is a good interval IMO. 6k would be an extended OCI. 😊

Well, I did say to start off at 5k. 3k seems utterly wasteful for a stout Euro oil.
