2015 Ford Fusion - electric parking brake question

A curious question, if you do the parking brake service mode, can you disconnect the battery. The car will sit for a while and will need to be able to move it. Has anyone done this before? Can just normally releasing the P brake do the same?
Electric P brakes is just nuts.

In service mode the brake is all the way retracted, so there'd be no problem pushing or towing the car. The brake pedal will not work very well though.

If you aren't servicing the brakes just make sure parking brake is released before disconnecting battery.
