Did Anyone Lease or Buy a 2013 Sentra, Im Curious because i might be leaning in that direction. If you have one how do you like it?

Thanks Grambo

A coworker of mine just leased one because the lease payment was pretty low.

I'm not impressed, at all, with what it is. The interior feels cheaper than that of a Versa and the CVT has a HORRIBLE resonance at about 5MPH that hurts your ears. The different ones that we test drove ALL do it.

It's priced way too high.

That's interesting, the one I test drove did not do that at 5mph (not that I spent much time there). Personally, my Cube has the same drive-train and I love it. I am getting 34mpg overall right now. I suspect the Sentra would be better since it is a tad more aerodynamic.

How do you like the cube?

My brother-in-law has had a 2013 as a company car for about 6 or 8 months now. Root beer metallic with CVT and navigation. He hates it.

He is the sales manager at the local Nissan dealership, he has had a long line of Nissans as company rides: 2001 Almera; 2003 Platina; 2005 Sentra; 2007 Tiida; 2009 Sentra; 2011 Spec V; and now a 2013 Sentra. For what it's worth he hated the 2009 Sentra too, but liked the 2005 and the 2011 Spec V.

Motor Trend just did an updated compact sedan comparo and rated the Sentra dead last. Poor handling, performance and fuel economy. It does have a cavernous back seat though.

On the other hand, they loved the new Kia Forte with the 2.0L DI.

Consumer Reports also bashes it, giving it one of the lowest scores in the class. And if anyone could forgive a foreign car's poor handling, power, noise, and fuel economy, it would be Consumer Reports.

Honda did a fantastic job of refreshing and updating the Civic for 2013, by most accounts it's a sure winner that does well in almost every attribute possible in this segment.

from your sig, i am confused why you would even consider a sentra, i suppose gas mileage but you are squeezing blood from an onion.

If $500 a month is "too much", then getting out of the lease and getting into something else , with a lower lease payment is probably also "too much".

If there's only $2450 left on it, hold out for the remaining 5 or 6 months (not sure what the interest is), let it go.

Then try to get something cheap. I'm in the situation of too many bills. No car payment > ANY car payment, especially when you're cutting it that close every month.

The lease is up soon on the G37X and i wanted an opinion on the Sentra and other fuel efficient Compact Sedans Im not bringing up the other thread i simply had a question thats it.

Have you looked at the new Elantra? Seems to be gathering positive reviews, especially the hatchback version. I'd also be checking out a Focus with a manual trans if I was shopping that category.

I have looked at the elantra they did a good job with it very good mpg. what do you think of the 2013 civic?

Supposedly the new Civic is nice, too. If you'll be purchasing and not planning to hold onto it for a long time, the Civic will probably have a better resale value than either the Elantra or the Focus. If you're leasing, it probably doesn't matter a whole lot.
