Nissan Dealerships have offered to buy it the current amount of lease payments left are 2495.50 I want a 2013 Altima SL SEDAN. Does anyone have the new altima and if so how do they like it? That is useful advice. Have you not read any of the BITOG car purchase threads?

I have just the car for you:

honestly I don't think people meant to bash you; Given most people's situation, it was probably good advice. I only upgraded to a mint but Used BMW from a 1997 Ford when I knew with absolute certainly that our finances were looking UP. Same with wife's current quest to upgrade from her old 200k mile car to something a BIT more upscale.

I was able to find a mint 12k mile BMW used - why do you need your car to be brand-new ???

If finance is tight and you absolutely must lease, I'd go with a cheaper car like a Nissan Versa, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, etc.

If you can buy used, there are lots of cars out there that you can end up buying for much cheaper than leasing a new car.

If you are just asking about how to bargain for the best deal on the lease, make sure you have a short term transit so you can leave if dealer are not giving you a good enough deal. If they know you have to leave with a car that day, they won't budge. Do all the negotiation on the internet with the dealer's Internet sales before going to the dealer with the final price, so you can cross shop multiple dealerships.

BITOGers are telling the truth, your finance is either not that tight or you are not listening to the reality if you are going to lease another car.

The numbers don't seem to work out too well on any of those cars. Go one segment up and the numbers are much better/lower. Like the Corolla, Civic, Elantra etc.

Okay, The G37x is too much right now at 500 a month. my target lease price is $325-350 and all i was asking is do you think that a 2013 Altima SL would be feasible. Im looking to downgrade to a lower FWD midsize sedan IE ACCORD CAMRY ETC. I Love Nissans i test drove the ALtima and i was hooked.

I'd price out the Altima, Accord and Camry. Look for a sign and drive deal which will prob be low 200's/mo. Lets say $230 plus the $70 from the G37 = $300 would be my goal. 15k miles per year. I'm calculating 7% sales tax built into the payment but since your located in NY that maybe much higher, not sure?

Whatever trim level on the Altima that gets you the best lease deal I'd go with. The Accord LX and Camry LE are the best lease deals with those models. Don't let the sales reps know your anxious to lower the payment. Since they can sense blood in the water better than SHARKS! Wear you poker face, hahaha.

quibbling over 150 a month isnt going to make much of a difference in the short term, or even the long run when it comes to monthly budgeting. either suck it up and go through the term of your lease, or you need to completely rethink your prioritys on what you NEED versus what you WANT.

Thanks you for understanding

You bet. I'm more familiar with the Accord and Camry. I know that Honda financial has at least a $500 damage allowance at the end of the lease for wear and tear items/worn tires etc. At one time it was up to $1500-2000. A friend who's a sales rep for Toyota has told me Toyota financial is easy to get financing with. A lot of the Toyo dealers still have 12 Camrys around that may lease out pretty well. I'm sure their anxious to move them out. I could be wrong but I think Nissan may have some weird disposition fees at lease end. Which may be a reason to avoid them this time around.

Also check out www.leasetrader.com . Someone may want to assume your lease from you for a year.

Not sure how Ally Financial does their leases, but the GM dealers around me have been running some good-sounding lease deals on leftover 2012 Cruzes.

The Altima is a solid car. Best of luck!

Saw a commercial last night on a Cruze for $99/mo but not sure what the out of pocket fees would be. It would probably be $170 or so with about $800 in fees at signing I'm estimating. That's what a friend of mine did.

The New Altima does not get good consumer reviews on edmunds.com, but if you are leasing it is all under warranty.
