Which will last longer?
A 2013 Acura RDX with 102K miles on it.
Or a 2019 Kia Sorento with 88K miles on it. Both with 6 cylinder engines.
Both cars are driven similarly, mostly highway miles.
Both cared for the same. Tire rotations and synthetic oil changes every 5K. Yearly state inspections. Routine maintenance completed at the dealerships with all necessary items/recommendations completed.

2019 or 2020 Kia Sorento if you prefer safety.

IME, Hyundai's body/chassis protection measures, are inferior when compared to most other Asian brands. In the end it could be moot, due to the fact that the Acura will have had 6 additional years of dealing with the elements. Rust protection measures may determine the lifespan of your vehicles, based on your location. In other words, protect your Acura!

It could come down to whats worth repairing. In another decade, spending $1000 on the Acura might be worthwhile, yet on the Hyundai, whatever its book value is at that time, then same $1000 might not be a good decision.

Yes, the Acura stays in our garage. The Kia, the driveway.
