This run was a mix of 4qt 5W-40 + 2.9 qt 5W-30. It looks like I forgot to submit the total mileage on the engine in the report. The manual recommends a 3,750 mi interval for the severe maintenance schedule. This one went a bit longer since I went on a 1,600 mile round trip drive during it.

I don't know why it says "estimate" for fuel dilution instead of GC, which I have seen in other reports from Oil Analyzers. That being said, there might be some sheering, since the viscosity at 100 C based on the PDS for HPL PCEO taking into account the ratio I used should be around 13.1 cSt.

The first sample was for M1 ESP 5W-30 (see here).

“Estimate” means they didn’t run the sample for FD. My guess is it’s a labor saving move by Polaris if the viscosity is close to what it should be. You can request a sample test for FD through their customer service email.

Looks like they may still have the sample of oil you sent them. You can see if they'll run GC method on it. Oil showing low contaminates & I see a large portion of Mg & Mo. You won't be having any LSPI problems... :)

Did you go with HPL again & are there any plans to run this oil out further?

I have enough HPL left for one more OCI. Right now, I'm running Valvoline R&P because I want to see if I can get it to fully stop burning oil for the duration of the 3,750 mi OCI (it burns about 0.25-0.5 qt, which starts at about 3k-3,250 mi into the OCI). I'm on my second OCI using Valvoline R&P, so I should hopefully have another oil report in the coming couple of months God Willingly.

It's not a turbo charged engine, so I don't think there should be much concern for LSPI.

Ah, I can't keep up w/who has dI turbo engines. Update us on the oil burning rate if you can. Would like to hear about R&P. Thanks

Gee, doesn’t look like mixing 2 different oils caused much problem. FWIW, I contacted HPL about blending those 2 weights of their regular PCMO, though in different proportions, and in different motor, and their spokesperson advised against it, but admitted, if I were going to mix 2 oils, that specific mix would be the least concerning. (Fuel diluting Ford 3.5 EcoBoost, 4-5 qts of the 5w30, and 1-2 qts 5w40). In my case, I just wanted a bit more cushion against the negative effects of the fuel dilution).
