Hi Guys.
I have four options here.
Fuchs GT1 0w-20.
Castrol GTX 10w-30.
Castrol Magnatec MP 5w-30
Castrol Magnatec 5w-40 (too thick.)
which oil you guys choose for the above mentioned motor vehicle?

I'd run the Castrol, even though I'm not a fan of BP. It's likely the most economical with regards to maintaining warranty.

I bought Mobil Super 2000 5w30 SN for my Rav4 $40 from Repco. I think the Castrol 5w30 is SM and a lot more pricy. Fuchs is an overkill don't you think?

4 cyl mandates 0W20 synthetic only
Isn't it 5W30 SN for the 3.5L V6? Or did they quietly change it to match the Camry.
Anyway .... don't vary from oil cap/owners manual while under warranty

Well Fuchs 0W-20 is the best choice of those oils though likely an expensive one, although it is a long drain oil.
But Shannow mentioned in another thread on 0W-20 oils in OZ that Castrol Magnetec 0W-20 is available at Subaru dealerships but only in 20L drums at present.
This oil is lighter than the Fuchs 0W-20 and being GP III based should be much cheaper.

Penrite do a 0w20 and a 0w30 in a 5L jug. Expensive but any Penrite retailer can order it in.

Edit: They will be only SL rated being Penrite.

The thinnest engine oil listed in the owners manual is 5w-30.

Nothing much you say makes any sense. Are you drunk?
V6=5W30 SN rated oil at 5K/6month oil change intervals.

I4 = 0W20 10k interval

All I can get out of you is that you are smoking too much weed.

In the USA the four banger calls for 0W20 and the V-6 5W30. You have yet to say which engine you have.

Mine 4 cylinder. Here in Oz 10000kms/6 months service interval under warranty.Engine oil start from 5w-30 to 20w-50.

I apologize for prior remarks. Did not realize you were in Australia.

5W30 ......... American SN 5W30 end of discussion.''

Otherwise, take it to your Toyota dealer and tell them do whatever they want ...... the warranty is on YOU and them.]

It am beginning to think these engines will perform well on about any high grade 0W20 syntheic to 20W50 ........ the only open question is whether or not it's true synthetic.

Some dealers will commit fruad.
