This weeks Top Gear has them review England's cheapest new car, a 6995 Pound Nissan. After making fun of the single speedometer (no tach) they then went shopping to see what else they could get for 6995.
They wound up with a used Mercedes and BMW, both V12, both chock full of goodies. Trying to make an obvious point.
I understand the new for 2012 versa is over 100 lbs lighter, and the same 1.6 liter engine is tuned for economy, losing power in the process.
I think the $10k V12 cars fall under the "Can't afford one if you gave it me" catagory for alot of us...
They are tempting sometimes though, there was a Lincoln LS running gear Jag for $11k near me for a while. 7 or 8 years old, how bad could Lincoln parts prices be? I'd feel like a tool driving it anyways, old luxury cars, thrashed as commuters gives sort of a wannabe vibe.
