blower motor cut out then came back on during the drive.
Worn out motor, or faulty "resistor" (which is actually a transistor). Either one is not expensive or complicated to replace. Probably should wait for it to happen consistently to simplify diagnosis.

That was my thought, and what I told my sister. Hopefully something simple.
