I am looking at replacing the 01 T&C in my sig with this --> http://richmond.craigslist.org/cto/4222233242.html

I test drove it last week. Ran perfect stopped perfect and went perfectly straight. I know all of the normal things to look for but wanted to know if there is anything specific for these models to look out for. I searched here and Saturnfans.com and couldn't find much of anything that looked to be problematic. The v6 however seemed to have several problems. Thanks for any input.

I thought the 6 cylinder was Honda powered.

The Ecotec is very nice. I know my Equinox is newer, but I have been very pleased with the 2.4.

Do you know what 4 speed it is? Seem weird to me it does not have the Aisin that my 07 Equinox had. Is it a 4T65E?

looks like pretty much all the other sperm/whale shaped CUV's out there. I would personally look for a hyundai santa fe instead or a Rav4 with some extra money.

it is a 4T45E .... is that a good thing?

Adequate, but no dipstick.

The older CVTs were horrible, horrible.

4T45E is a Cavalier sized auto transmission, not sure about it dragging around a VUE, though the axle ratio probably makes it happen. It's in my wife's HHR and the torque management of the throttle by wire makes the shifts quite pleasant and firm, but not noticeably. Especially kickdown downshifts. Changing the fluid at 135k with unknown maintenance history, I noted what went in pretty much looked like what came out. Red and not burned up.
