Except PU is a boutique oil up here.

One day, I'll fire off a sample from the Delvac 1.

The PU 5W-30 seems to be a good match for the VQ37. It is about impossible to find at retail but I just bought two more 6 packs for about $48 each plus two Mobil 1 filters from Amazon for less than what a case of 12 Redline 5W-30 would have cost.
The Redline performed well in my '09 370Z but it is not worth 40% more ! (Almost $138 for 12 quarts vs. the close out price of $96 for 12 quarts of the PU)
I run 5K OCI's in my Z which seems to be a conservative compromise between the severe service and normal recommendations.

well, he went almost year on that last oil. And...the fewer miles the better. Imho

Time in sump really has very little impact on the oil itself.
I understand changing based on warranty constraints and due to these warranty constraints i would have used a cheaper oil instead, since the oil is getting analyzed anyways I'd rather see how far I can push a lesser oil just in case I'm not in a position to acquire a top shelf syn.
We all know that ultra will do a 3750 mile interval and still be clean on the dipstick,so paying for someone to tell me the oils still good when the product is of known quality and the oil being still serviceable is to be expected.
Once warranty expires I've got no doubt ultra will easily run out a 7500 mile interval
