This is HPLs 504/507 Euro 5w30, second run of it. I did sample the first run (probably shouldn't have but I did). Obviously this was run over the summer months, as you can see we drive this truck. It is the primary family vehicle. Mainly highway miles, doesn't tow but hauls stuff periodically. Highlight of the interval is a 1000 mile trip from Maryland to NYC to Niagara Falls, ON and back. The starting part of the NYC to Niagara leg was quite hilly, so it got a decent workout compared to it's normal life with a bed full of stuff and 5 people in the cab.

Sample Legend
Sample 1: Pennzoil Platinum
Sample 2: HPL Euro 5w30 VOA
Sample 3: HPL PCEO 5w20
Sample 4: 1st run of HPL Euro 5w30
Sample 5: Current run of HPL Euro 5w30

I did not change the oil at this time as I'm still considering what oil next, another 2 changes of the HPL Euro 5w30 or switch back to the PCEO or even the HDEO. I want to pick an oil for the rest of it's life and I'm not seeing the Euro as being the ticket to my untrained eye. OCIs will remain at 10k+.

Still has a strong TBN, oxidation is about 16. Iron is awesome. I was hoping to see the copper come down but it's a tick higher on ppm/1000. I do know this engine coppers a little more than others, but the PCEO was lower. The engine did consume about 1/2qt over the 8100 miles but as reported, no makeup oil.

Kind of feel like going back to the PCEO to see if I get a comparable UOA since it'll be 30 or 40,000 miles older at the completion of the next UOA.

Low wear and in grade. Strong TBN. TAN would be nice to see but I suspect it would be low. Some light oxidation going on but nothing crazy (20 to 36/ +16). Nice report.

For what reason?
Main hang up is the copper, I think, but it's really not obscene.

That was probably more worded poorly on my part. I'm not necessarily seeing a benefit to the Euro based on these numbers. However, I do understand I only have one data point with the PCEO.
