I have seen a lot of hype about Amsoil. Is it worth changing from Moble 1 in my 2008 Corvette?

Mobil 1 is a very good oil. Much more important to change it regularly than which brand you use.

No need to. I did switch from Mobil 1 to Castrol Edge in my 1998 Corvette. I did not like the high lead readings I was getting. Edge cut them by 3 times !

Also switched from Mobil 1 to Pennzoil Platinum in my other cars.

I still think Mobil 1 is a good oil, there are just some better now.

Great answer. Now get yourself a used oil analysis and try different oils and see which one works the best in your app.

While it's still on warranty you might consider sticking to an oil that meets the GM oil spec for Corvettes.
