Hi everyone, I'm writing from Italy.

I would like to do some maintenance on my father's 2008 Mini Cooper S R56. Over the years it has only changed the oil, filter and brake fluid.

I think it is time to replace the coolant after 13 years also because my dad has recently topped up with a different type and now it has a bad color

The use and maintenance booklet does not say which liquid to use and does not provide any specifications.

I think the classic cold blue / green liquid is fine.
Some of you are kind enough to give me confirmation. I would like to be sure before doing the work.

I thought about this to dilute to 50%

Thank you

BASF G48, AKA mercedes bmw volvo blue. sometimes referred to as G11

blue coolants like the one you linked will be equivalent. glysantin brand or bmw dealer will be the genuine factory fill coolant

any blue will work, use the cheapest and easiest to find

I seem that in total the cooling system is 5.2 liters (can you confirm it for me?)

I take 4 liters of concentrated antifreeze to be diluted to 50%, what do you think?
