How do you disconnect the MDS on 5.7 Hemi....don't want any why!!! just a sraight up solution!

The only way I know of doing it is to buy either a Superchips Flashpaq or Cortex. I would buy one of those anyways for the diagnostic features and the extra power obtained.

This should probably be in the Automotive General Discussion section but I will answer it here anyway...

You can pull the intake manifold and remove the MDS solenoids and wiring harness but that will give you a CEL light all the time. It does disable it permanently however. You can buy a handheld tuner that allows MDS to be shut off as others said as well. Both of those options however will cause major issues with your warranty.

Other than a tuner or pulling the solenoids it can't be done permanently. The easiest solution I have found( I have an 08 as well with the 5.7L and MDS )is around town, which is where it annoys me, is to just press the Tow/Haul button on the end of the gear shift lever. Putting it in TH disables MDS. You have to do it every time you shut off and restart but it is easy to just press that button. When I hit areas that are 40-45+ I go back to regular as MDS doesn't bother me at those speeds.
