I just bought this 2008 Honda CR-V one owner with 163k miles for my daughter to drive.

We had a 2007 that got totaled, still mad about that. We bought it new and I know it would have been a 1/2 mil mile car. Oh well….

I took the valve cover off to do the valve adjustment and was pleasantly surprised. Supposedly this had a diet of 3k mile oil changes and at some point they switched to full syn and 5k OCIs.

Just another crazy clean Honda K24. I have one in the garage right now...
Us too, it's our spare vehicle at our vacation home in SoFlo. It drives and looks great still, considering it's a 2008 with almost 250k kms. Everything works too, even the A/C. Decided it could retire down south as opposed to getting very little for it as a trade in back in 2019.

Maybe I'm seeing things, but the top camshaft lobe #2 looks nicked up pretty good. Does your nail catch on any of those marks or is just weird reflections I'm seeing?

Looks clean as far as (lack of) varnish or sludge, which is great.

I call myself running my fingers over the lobes and they were all smooth, but I will re-check when I open it up again in the coming weeks.

I didn't do the valve adjustment because I didn't buy the special tool....I ordered it after I failed to be able to use a 10mm offset wrench.

My 09’ Camry came kinda looked this way. Smooth as newborns behind. Looks are deceiving
