2007 Pontiac Torrent 3400

My in-laws have owned a 2009 Torrent for the better part of the last decade. Even with minimal preventative maintenance and quick lube oil changes it’s been relatively trouble free for them and is still their main vehicle at 170,000 miles.

But the catch is you took care of it. Most never did. Without care I saw quite a few in the yard earlier then they should have….

Also bet it was plenty of freeway driving too.

I can’t hate on them to much- I still like the design of the first Nox…..

Mostly in town stuff with a couple of 1900 mile road trips. We don't freeway much unless it is the Caprice or the truck. We'll back then it would have been the Buick of Grand Prix. I can't remember.

I read elsewhere that gm may have went to a metal img by 2007 but I don't know how I would tell

If you shine a flashlight between the intake and cylinder head, you may get a silver reflection from the metal gaskets. I was lucky to have that on one of my 3800 cars. One less thing that I had to do.
