The CC switch on my friend's 2007 TSX lost its click; it doesn't set. A toothpick is a common fix...

We have another steering wheel from Ebay; problem is the harness connector is crazy hard to disconnect! I mean stupid hard.
Any experience? My solution is to replace both switches (CC and radio controls) and install as an assembly.
Thanks in advance!

The CC switch is on the right; the radio controls are on the left.

This cruise control switch for a 2007 Honda Accord appears to be the same part. The video below might help your endeavor.

There are 2 switches; that's the black plug is the easy one... It may be American vs Japan builds. I THINK it may fit the 04-05; the 06 and 07 have 2 white male plugs and appear to be attached? The whole thing almost appears to be soldered. Weird.

Thanks for your post.

A post on the TSX Club forum suggests that the white plastic connector on the CC switch is not a detachable plug, but a soldered on part of the circuit board. This is the photo of the white connector linked from that post.

On an older Acura, I would be inclined to cut the wires and splice in the new switch(es) with solder-filled heat shrink connectors instead of removing the harness assembly.

That's it. White plug. It is 2 pieces. There seems to be no lock tab to depress or whatever. Hard to believe. Why would they do such a thing? Sheesh.

Guess I'm gonna hafta learn how to pull the air bag...

Removal of airbags on Hondas and Acuras are straightforward. Disconnect the battery for at least 15 minutes to discharge the residual current, then remove the two (Torx T-30) bolts shown as part #14 in your schematic above. Be careful when detaching the airbag pigtail's yellow plug connector and ground wire since they are somewhat fragile.
