I am going to need a new air filter and cabin filter for this car soon. I would love to try the Amsoil Eaa filter, but it appears it is not made for 06-07 V6 Accords. Are there any other options out there? The factory one is a Filtech and it is probably the highest quality factory filter I have ever seen. I'd like something equal to or better than that for filtering capability and flow.

I believe Terry Dyson has said that the Honda V6's run richer the moment the air filter begins to become even slightly used, which turns into fuel dilution in the oil. He recommended the cheapest air filter you can find and change it more frequently to prevent said fuel dilution. I do this on my friend's Pilot and and my bosses' Acura TL. Every other oil change on those (about every 12-15k) I put in a new Fram.

If that's true I will change it more often, but I'd still prefer not to use the cheapest (Fram) if possible. If I can spend a few more bucks and get a good one that filters and performs better I will. Any other recommendations

Yeah! Another Oem Filtech from your Dealer! Never seen a better over the counter filter.

Same here, but I'm still using the Fram on my Civic and plan to change it out every oil change (6,000-7,000 miles). The inside of the air panel box on the car is dusty on the intake side and immaculate on the other, so it gives me the impression that the Fram is working well, probably an easy job at the low CFM my engine generates.

Fram is cheapest in quality (to you) or price?

Fram is the cheapest in both respects. I have no intention on changing it every 10K. Currently I have 23K on the factory one, and it's somewhat dirty, but not bad at all. The maintenance minder has not indicated a filter change yet. Sounds like the factory one is the best option. They are about $27 at the dealer. The factory cabin filter is $35, and on that I will probably go with the Fram for $17.
