Here is my 14 month report on Amsoil ALM; 1 qt of make up oil. Extra long winter prevented my changing it out. B-S labs.
Maybe 6oz of LC I run synthetic for situations such as this; vehicle occasionally can be out of my control (not this year) for months @ a time.

This was a very long oil run for your Mazda, so that helps to explain why wear metals have gone so high this time around. Since universal averages are based on ~5,500 miles of oil use, and iron tracks with mileage, 26 ppm of iron is right around what we'd expect after 14,400 miles. Copper doesn't typically track with time on the oil, so this level could show some excess brass or bronze wear, but it's just something to watch for now. The TBN is good at 2.1, but the TAN of 7.1 shows some acidity, and with the high metals, we'd stick with ~12K miles for now to monitor.

Thank you for the post. Another option other than using LC is at 7K you could just change the oil filter and top off.

But it is nice to see a 14K UOA.

IMO, the M-1 102 is a top-tier filter good for up to 15K, so it didn't need to be changed out.

The Fram ULTRA is also top-tier, long OCI filter (up to 15K), and cost much less (under $9) at Walmart. It would save you a few bucks if you went to the ULTRA.
