Truck has 76400 miles on it... Just bought it was thinking of castrol gtx high mileage oil with a k&n oil filter? Or mobil 1 high mileage oil & mobil 1 filter?

K&N oil filters are identical to Mobil 1 filters save for the nut welded on the bottom. Use Mobil 1 to save a couple bucks instead.

You can go to your local Nissan dealership and request their entire service history for the truck; while this obviously may not reveal the true history (i.e. quick lube oil changes, etc), it will give you some sort of insight.

do you live in north or south louisiana? where i live, nothing but hot temps. if youre gong with conventional high mileage oil, theres no need for such an expensive filter. the castrol gtx and a napa gold would suit you just fine. have you ever considered pennzoil platinum 5W30 for 5k ocis then doing a used oil analysis?
