The time has come to sell our beloved Corolla. I’ve posted about it here before - been in the family since day 1. We’re 2nd owners.
We’ve been asking friends and family if anyone is interested. Would really hate for her to get trashed by the next owner and instead hit the 299,999 milestone. All in all has been a standout vehicle that has taken us to 39 states and 2 Canadian provinces.
Runs well, doesn’t have anything wrong with it. We ended up buying newer vehicles and it’s becoming too many cars for us.
AC and heat work great - AC is finicky sometimes on really hot days. Unsure why - both low and high side gauges have been steady for the past 3 years.
Pinch weld points are intact, maybe a pro given it’s a 21 yr old rust belt car? It’s been fluid filled every fall the last 10 years we’ve had it. Usual bitoger maintenance schedule (5k OCIs - I think I have one OCI I hit 6k miles, 30k ATF spill and fills, 40-50k coolant spill and fills, got parts off RA, hydraulic engine mount from the Toyota dealer, etc). Comes on Blizzaks. Paint shines well, I’ve always waxed her after a wash unless it was during a polar vortex
Muffler was replaced last year at a local shop, has a small bit of drone. The left mirror adjustment is finicky - gotta manually adjust it along with the motor but it stays solid in place once it’s adjusted.
It’s got heated seats, remote start (doesn’t drain the battery, I’ve parked it at the airport upto 3 weeks at a time) and tinted windows. Happy to walk through all the maintenance history for anyone seriously interested.
I’m hoping someone here wants a cheap reliable runabout or knows someone that does before I give in and list her on marketplace.
