The car had 127k when the oil was drained, after a 5,700 mile run. Mobil 1 5W-40 Turbo Diesel Truck and a M1 filter (good package deal at Advance Auto Parts). The car has a 2.3l turbo with 250 hp and a 5 speed manual. Runs great with no driveability issues, power is excellent and mileage is in the 27-28 mpg range in mixed driving. There was a period of about 500 miles late in the OCI where the car ran cool due to a faulty thermostat. Analysis by Terry Dyson's lab, MRT (?)

Prior UOAs show a trend of good, low wear metals despite a good bit of degradation of the oil. Robust 5W-40s seem to be the best bet for these engines.

Previous UOAs at 14k, 45k, 70k, and 85k.

Wow - the fuel really trashed that oil! Wear numbers are good, though. Might want to try and do a bit more highway driving to boil contaminents out of the oil.
