Took this sample ice cold. no oil added, headgasket changed at 55k miles. when we took this car to get the headgasket changed out, the work order said changed oil. however my supertech oil filter was still on there which possibly means they didn't do the work. I bet they just tossed some coolant tabs in there and never changed the headgasket. My newphew turns 16 in October and my sister talked about buying him a new Nissan Sentra like my dad's car. She even talked about trading her tahoe in for a pathfinder. not while I'm alive and breathing. This is our first Nissan product in the immediate family.

I'd call an attorney, but I guess your 12 month/12K is up. I don't think I'll be buying a Nissan anytime soon. Sorry to see your family get screwed over like that but we've been through it with GMs and intake gaskets.

Looks bad. I think you were hosed. Go back to 'em. Sentra is not a car I would be buying anytime soon. The 1.8 has headgaskes. The SER.SpecV 2.5 is a can of worms. Also the present Platform is hopelessly outy dated.

Sentra used to be a reliiable car up until the 1.8 and 2.5L went in. I have the All aluminum SR20DE engine that is built like a tank.

May be you remember, I've already complained here about a head gasket in my 2001 GXE. I was trying different staff like alumseal or GM/Subaru treatment - nothing works for me. I decided not to use syntetic oil any more (waste of money in my particular case) and change dyno once in 3-4 kmiles. Should be pretty good, IMHO.
Beside of this case I can't tell anything bad about this Sentra... But I agree: just head gasket case is more than enough.
